Silk, chiffon, relaxed crepe, lace, print, jersey, mechanical stretch, fringe, wrap his way into my beating dress heart! I love his designs!
And I’ll tell you why. First of all, it is NOT boring. His designs are vibrant and full of life. It really make me wanna jump up and down with joy – but again, that’s probably my beating heart for dresses. I think, what is the most special about Yigal Azrouël haute couture designs and prêt-a-porter collections is that I think all types of women can find a dress they love. I believe he understands women of all kinds and that versatile distinction separates him from everyone else.
(course we all know how women love a man who just gets her, right…)
The next reason to my immediate love are the webshop. He has one! Yes. So from anywhere you can acces his store-universe and treat yourself with a dress by Yigal Azrouël. The pricerange is still expensive, but you will find dresses from 350$ to approximately 2000$. Again, accessible for all women with all pocket sizes.
He first startet out in 1998 in New York City getting his breakthrough in New York Fashion Week a few years later. Then he opened a showroom in The City just near the garment district which provides him with most of the fabric and man power for producing the items. The business has rapidly expanded. Opening his first store in Manhatten in 2003 and being more and more recognized by the industry both in The States and internationally.
Check out a backstage-video from his latest show:
